Vehicle Care Log | Printable Service and Running Cost Record

The Vehicle Care Log gives you the columns and the space; you supply everything that goes in them.

What is in the set

1. Vehicle Overview - one column each for up to two vehicles: make and model, model year, body style and color, fuel or energy type, the units you use, the odometer reading the log starts from, where the manual and the service booklet are kept, and who you use for service, tires and roadside assistance.
2. Service History - 24 lines for work that has been done: date, odometer, what was done in the words on your receipt, where, and cost.
3. Upcoming Service Record - a place to write the intervals you copy from your own owner's manual or from the shop that services your vehicle, with columns for your interval, when it was last done, when you have it down as next due, and a tick box. Common item names are printed as row headings with the interval columns left blank, and nine further rows are blank for your own items.
4. Fuel and Energy Log - 22 lines plus a totals row: date, odometer, amount, your own unit (gal, L or kWh), cost and where. Works the same for a fuel tank or a charge.
5. Tire and Service Notes - a blank record by wheel position, with two lines each for front left, front right, rear left, rear right and the spare, plus twelve ruled lines for anything else you were told at a service visit.
6. Annual Summary and Document Index - a month-by-month row for the year, then an index of where each document is kept, with a date-checked column.

How it is meant to be used

Print the pages you want, put them in a folder or binder, and write on them with a pen. The sheets are designed to be filled in by hand - they are not fillable on screen and contain no form fields, buttons or links.

• This is a record-keeping set only. It contains no service schedule, no maintenance interval, no pressure, fluid, torque or other specification, and no advice of any kind about your vehicle. Every figure comes from your own owner's manual, your service booklet or the shop that services your vehicle.
• The pages deliberately do not ask for a plate number, VIN, policy number or account number. The document index asks where a document is kept, not what is printed inside it.
• Digital download. Nothing is posted to you and no physical product is included.
• Designed for hand completion after printing.

Format

• 2 PDF files, 6 pages each.
• Supplied as a ZIP file containing the US Letter PDF, the A4 PDF and a READ-ME text file. Extract the ZIP before opening the PDFs.
• US Letter 8.5 x 11 in and A4 210 x 297 mm.
• Static print files: no form fields, no JavaScript, no links, no embedded files, not encrypted.
